Dave A. Anselmi as been producing & directing music videos & short films for the past six years in Berkeley & San Francisco.
He received his Bachelors degree from University of California, Berkeley in Comparative Literature (Russian) with Minor in Film. He has also studied filmmaking & screenwriting at Hollywood Film Institute & UC Berkeley Extension.
Awards include Camera & Assistant Editor for Hometown Video Festival 2001 winner “Cutting Edge 4″.
Dave’s filmmaking is informed by his lifetime study of wholistic practices, including 12 years as Instructor of Internal Martial Arts (T’ai Ch’i Ch’uan, Bagua Ch’ang, H’sing I Ch’uan); as well as Graduate & Teacher, Berkeley Psychic Institute.
Production credits include:
-Producer, Writer, Director, Cinematographer, Editor: “Failure to Communicate” (4 minutes) & “Freak Magnet” (5 minutes). Both are in rotation on Kevin Spacey’s Triggerstreet.com online film festival.
-Producer, Director, Editor: “Naach Dance Event”, 2004; “Happy Feet: Marin Dance Festival”, 2001
-PA: San Francisco Symphony Beethoven with Michael Tilson Thomas 2-week Hi-Definition shoot, May 2004.
Dave is currently preparing the 8 minute short “AIN’T Got Game” for Sundance submission, which can be seen on his site PracticalMysticProductions.com
